My Budget Binder

It all started with a budget binder! I first started my budget binder the month of December 2014. I had started budgeting previously but had trailed off from my system & money was disappearing like crazy (& we are not crazy spenders either, we just hadn't budgeted for the things we needed). I was on Pinterest and found the Budget Binder (Download Here) from Thirty Handmade Days: HERE. So when my husband had his accident 6 months later, her binder printables were our life saver! For 3 months it was a struggle to stay afloat but with my trusty binder we made it through something we never would have otherwise. Not to mention my photography business drastically picking up that summer & my hardcore couponing. It was a proud time for me to be able to say that I alone (along with his small amount of unemployment, while he was crazily looking for a job) kept us going when my husband has always been the one to do it all. Anyways, I took her pages and used them to start off, then when it didn't fit exactly what I needed I made my own pages from scratch that were similar. Right now I'm working on a matching set of printables for my binder which I will list below. I recommend creating your own budget binder if you're struggling to keep track of your money or at least for a peace of mind, knowing where your money is going and how much you have. We had someone get our credit card info and had I not been checking the bank daily and writing things down I never would have caught it! I prefer to put all my pages in one binder but some people have several binders. I have a binder for anything and everything: Recipes, Homeschooling, Taxes...

Below are a mix of printables that I use or have used & ones I handmade myself.

YEARLY:

1 Year Savings Challenge - Found: Here - I use this to set aside $10 a week into a separate account to save for Christmas etc.

Loan/Debt Payoff - by Jesica Carr - made in Pages - I started using this just to keep track on how much we had left on vehicle loans etc.

Medical Debt Payoff - by Jessica Carr - made in Pages - I made this to keep track of any medical bills we couldn't pay in full which is normally once a year.

Tax Information - Found: Here - I keep a separate Tax Binder to organize our documents for our taxes. Our guy really appreciates my organization. I have it all tabbed so I could literally hand it to him to go through on his own!

MISC:

Pantry Inventory - by Jessica Carr - I like to laminate these and hang them on my cabinets.

Like I said, I'm in the process of making more pages; all to match. I wanted to make sure I had a set for this year to start off so I'm just slowly converting them now. If anyone has any requests let me know. There are so many options. Or if you'd like something personal made I'm willing to do that as well! :) Jessica
